Department of Kayachikitsa
The Department of Kayachikitsa is one of the most important clinical departments in Ayurveda. It deals with the diagnosis and treatment of systemic diseases through Ayurvedic internal medicine. The term Kayachikitsa refers to the treatment of disorders affecting the body through medications, dietary regulation, and lifestyle modifications.
The department focuses on the management of diseases related to digestive, respiratory, metabolic, neurological, and lifestyle disorders using classical Ayurvedic principles.
Students are trained to understand disease conditions through the concepts of Dosha, Dhatu, Mala, Agni, Ama, and Srotas, and to apply appropriate Ayurvedic therapeutic measures.
